"It has been necessary to postpone Ride 4 Me, our charity bike ride, until early next year as we have not met our minimum number of bookings to go ahead with the event. Kids Alive is pleased to announce our second ‘Ride 4 Me’ charity bike ride is taking place on Saturday 8th October 2011 and this year we have introduced a brand new, 5k family lap.

Join us on our 5k family lap inside Weald Country Park in Brentwood, or sign up to our 20k and 50k scenic routes to help us feed and educate over 300 children at our school in Colombia.

Last year our cyclists raised £26,000 for the desperately poor children in Ethiopia and with this we were able to build a school and make a lasting difference to their lives. This year, with your help, we hope to offer children in Colombia the same life-changing opportunities.

Our 50k and 20k routes start and finish in Weald Country Park in Brentwood and they pass through beautiful Essex villages such as Doddinghurst, Fryerning, Navestock and Stapleford Abbotts (for ages 14 and above). With our brand new 5k family lap we are welcoming school children and young families to the cycle ride (aged six and above) with a safe and enjoyable route inside the park.
